Charity Commission Statement
Action Deafness met with representatives from the Charity Commission on 14th October 2009. The meeting was held to discuss the various concerns brought to their attention by members of the Deaf and hard of hearing communities.
At this meeting a full and frank exchange was considered between a representative of the board of Trustees and the CEO of Action Deafness and the two Charity Commission Officers. During this meeting the ten complaints received by the Commission were addressed. Action Deafness was informed by the Commission that they could find no evidence of mismanagement within the organisation.
Action Deafness actively seeks to engage with the nominated representatives of the Deaf and hard of hearing communities in order to resolve disagreements between the two parties and will continue to do so until a satisfactory outcome is achieved.
